Space Availability - John T. Richardson Library

Masks are required at all times within the Library, regardless of vaccination status. Eating and drinking in the library is discouraged unless absolutely necessary. Masks may be adjusted temporarily while actively eating and drinking; please keep beverages in a covered container. All reservations are subject to DePaul University COVID policies

 Failure to comply may result in a temporary ban from the Library and reporting of the incident to the Dean of Students.

Richardson Library has rooms and tables that can be reserved for group work or study.

Group Study Rooms

Simple, enclosed meeting spaces seating up to 10 in the Richardson library.

Group Work Tables

These workstations are media:scape tables and are located on the first and second floors. They include one Windows computer, but users can also plug in their own devices to the tables such as laptops and tablets. Learn more.



  • Rooms are booked in 30-minute time slots, up to two hours
  • Rooms can be booked up to two weeks in advance
  • Subject to general and group study room reservation policies
